What LoanNEX Is — and the Challenges It Faced
LoanNEX is a fast-growing fintech platform serving the mortgage and capital markets sector. In early 2025, the company entered a period of expansion that placed increasing strain on its leadership structure. As the organization grew, coordination across departments became more difficult and the CEO found themselves pulled deeper into day-to-day operational matters.
The company had strong momentum, but growth exposed several structural challenges that made scaling more difficult. Among the most pressing issues were:
- Lack of organizational structure and clear accountability
- Roles and responsibilities that needed greater clarity
- A leadership team that was still developing, including the absence of a Chief Revenue Officer
- Too many functions reporting directly to the CEO
- The CEO being heavily involved in daily operations instead of focusing on higher-level priorities
- “Right people, right seat” challenges across parts of the organization
At the same time, departments were often operating with different priorities and planning tended to be reactive rather than coordinated. To continue scaling effectively, LoanNEX needed stronger alignment across the leadership team, clearer ownership, and a consistent operating rhythm that would support execution.
How Wolf’s Edge Helped
LoanNEX partnered with Wolf’s Edge Integrators and brought on April Stercula and Corina Ludwig as Fractional Executive Integrators from February through December 2025. Their role was to help elevate the leadership team, while building an operating structure capable of supporting growth, and introduce a more predictable system for planning and execution.
April and Corina quickly became trusted partners to the leadership team. They worked alongside leaders to create structure and clarity within the existing organization. A key part of this work was establishing a steady leadership cadence that included:
- Weekly leadership meetings
- Quarterly planning sessions
- Department-level alignment meetings
This operating rhythm provided consistency and improved visibility across teams. Leaders gained clearer expectations around their roles and responsibilities, communication strengthened, and decision-making became more structured. April and Corina also helped leaders clarify ownership of initiatives and ensured that priorities were consistently tracked and discussed.
Their neutral and objective presence played an important role in shaping leadership discussions. Conversations that had previously focused on immediate issues began to shift toward forward-looking planning and coordinated problem solving. Over time, this structure helped the leadership team move from reactive discussions toward a more strategic approach to managing the business.
How the Business Is Performing Today
As the new structure took hold, LoanNEX began to see meaningful improvements across the organization. Leadership alignment strengthened and cross-functional teams began working together with greater clarity and trust. The improved operating rhythm allowed the team to prioritize work more effectively across product, sales, client support, and operations.
Planning also became more proactive. Instead of reacting to immediate challenges, leadership was able to look ahead and coordinate priorities across departments. This shift supported stronger execution and contributed to more stable revenue growth throughout the year.
LoanNEX leaders shared positive reflections on their experience with Wolf’s Edge Integrators. One leader noted:
“Wolf’s Edge helped us introduce a more structured, disciplined approach to problem solving across the company. Their neutrality created an environment that allowed teams to collaborate more effectively around real issues.”
Another leader shared:
“Wolf’s Edge fractional leadership was integral to our small company’s evolution toward stronger business practices, helping us stay focused on key tasks and sales objectives and meeting our software development deliverables.”
By the end of 2025, LoanNEX had developed a more capable and aligned leadership team, a clear operating model, and a scalable foundation to support continued growth. The leadership team unanimously recommended Wolf’s Edge Integrators to other organizations, emphasizing the lasting cultural and operational improvements gained through the engagement.
